Locally Stored Content

Ant Snippets is designed to store user-created snippets, commands, text and saved prompts locally on the user’s computer.

Ordinary snippet expansion does not require uploading the user’s snippet library to Insight Office servers.

Further information is provided in the following section, Ant Snippets – Local Content Privacy.

Ant Snippets – Local content privacy

Ant Snippets is designed as a local text expansion and productivity application.

1. Local snippet storage

User created snippets, commands, text, links and saved prompts are stored locally on the user’s computer as part of the normal Ant Snippets functionality.

Ordinary snippet expansion does not require uploading the saved snippet library to Insight Office’s cloud servers.

Users remain responsible for securing their devices and managing any exported copies or backups of their snippets.

Account and license management may use online services independently of the locally stored snippet library.

2. Keyboard and system permissions

Ant Snippets uses shortcut detection to recognize user defined commands and insert saved content into supported applications.

To provide this functionality, the application may require operating system permissions, including accessibility or input monitoring permissions, depending on the platform.

These permissions support text expansion functionality and are not intended to provide a general-purpose keystroke recording or monitoring service.

The standard shortcut detection and text expansion process operates locally.

3. Use with other applications

Ant Snippets may insert text into applications such as Microsoft Outlook, Word, Teams, browsers, LinkedIn, CRM systems and AI assistants.

When a user chooses to insert or submit content into another application, that application may process, store or share the content according to its own terms and privacy policy.

Insight Office does not control the privacy practices of independent third-party applications into which users insert their content.

4. Optional AI-assisted features

Ant Snippets may provide optional AI-assisted functionality for editing, improving or generating text.

Where such functionality relies on an external AI provider, selected content and information necessary to process the request may be transmitted to that provider when the user deliberately invokes the feature.

Information about the provider, the processing involved and any legally required permissions must be made available to the user before the relevant transfer takes place.

Ordinary local snippet expansion does not require an AI service.

Insight Office does not use Visma e-conomic API data to train, fine-tune, adapt or optimize AI models.

5. Local data control

Users can manage their locally stored snippets through the functionality provided within Ant Snippets.

Where supported, users may edit, delete, export or import their snippets.

Uninstalling the application does not necessarily remove manually exported backups or copies saved elsewhere by the user.

Users wishing to delete an Insight Office account or associated online account information may contact support@anttext.com

Ant Text 365 and Microsoft data

Ant Text 365 integrates with Microsoft 365 Outlook to provide email templates and related productivity functionality.

Depending on the features used and permissions granted, Ant Text 365 may access Microsoft 365 information necessary to provide the selected functionality.

This may include template related files, mailbox information, email content and other Microsoft 365 data within the scope of the permissions authorized by the customer or administrator.

Microsoft 365 permissions are managed through the applicable Microsoft authorization processes.

Insight Office uses this access to deliver the requested Ant Text functionality and does not use it for unrelated purposes.

Microsoft may separately process information according to the customer’s Microsoft agreements and Microsoft’s privacy terms.

Ant Text Classic and local templates

Ant Text Classic allows users to create and use templates stored in local or shared folders.

Depending on the customer’s configuration, these folders may be located on the customer’s computer, network or selected storage service.

Customers control the content and access permissions of the folders they select.

The application may process template content and related information to provide the requested Outlook functionality.

Where a customer uses an external integration, additional information may be accessed as described in this Policy.

Visma e-conomic integration

Certain Ant Text Classic functionality may connect to Visma e-conomic.

1. Purpose of processing

The integration allows users to display selected e-conomic customer information, invoices, quotations, orders and credit notes within Outlook and use related merge fields in Word-based email templates.

The integration is intended for template-based customer communication, not independent accounting or financial analysis.

2. Information accessed

Depending on the selected document and template, information may include:

  • Customer identification and contact information.

  • Invoice, quotation, order and credit note numbers.

  • Dates, references and document-related information.

  • Amounts, balances and other supported merge-field values.

A public list of available fields is provided at:

Visma e-conomic merge fieldsintegration

3. Authorization and Storage

Access requires authorization through the relevant Visma e-conomic connection process.

The integration is designed to retrieve information necessary for the supported functionality.

Temporary caching may be used where appropriate to improve performance and reduce unnecessary API calls.

The integration is not intended to create a permanent independent accounting database using e-conomic API data.

When the user inserts selected information into an Outlook email, that information may become part of the resulting email and be processed by Microsoft Outlook and the intended recipient’s email services.
